Nature Walk

In this lab, students learned about qualitative and quantitative data and why it is important to use both in our written observations and in everyday life.

Students found 3 objects in the field and recorded 2 pieces of quantitative and qualitative data for each object. Objects included pieces of nature such as rocks, sticks, and leaves while other objects were man-made litter such as pieces of nets, trash, even a plastic lamb figurine!
